A tiny whisky distillery Tomintoul Distillery of Scotland has produced a bottle of whisky weighing in at 164kg and stands some 144cm tall (just under 5ft), the massive bottel of singel malt was filled by hand with 105 litres (the giant container holds the equivalent of 150 standard bottles) of 14-year-old Tomintoul Speyside Glenlivet Scotch is the Largest whisky bottle. The giant whisky bottle, which will be on permanent display at the Clockhouse in the village square at Tomintoul village(Tomintoul is located in the northeast of Scotland in Ballindalloch, Banffshire.). The idea was the brainchild of Dru McPherson and Whisky Castle shop owner, Mike Drury, and led to a collaboration with Tomintoul Distillery to produce the world's largest whisky bottle.
A German glassmaker created the 7mm thick pyrex bottle, and a massive cork was specially made to fit. And after filling the gigantic bottle, the huge cork had to hammered into place with a massive mallet.
